Immediate Past CAMS Meetings and Activities:
February 15, 2006: We invited Dr. Ramon Mendez, a nephrologist in Virginia, to give a talk about ARB for hypertension. The meeting was sponored by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. It was held in the Peking Gourmet Inn of Falls Church, VA. There were 64 members and guests attended meeting. We thank Dr. Zhenya Gao for his effort to make the meeting possible.
January 14, 2006: CAMS Mid-Atlantic Chapter Chinese New Year Celebration party in China Garden of Rosslyn, VA. Dr. Linda Tsan and Dr. Kai-Yiu Yeung talked about the history of CAMS. Members and guests enjoyed an evening of fine dining, Karoke, and dance. We thank Dr. Alan Cheung, the chair for the new year celebration committee, for his excellent work. CAMS Mid-Atlantic chapter sponsored this event.
November 13, 2005: We invited Dr. Toby C. Chai, Associate Professor of the University of Maryland to give us a lecture on the "Current Managment of Bladder Problems - from Incontinence to Voiding Problems" at the 2941 Restaurant of Falls Church, VA. There were 49 members attended the meeting. We thank Dr. Jeff Wong for his time and effort of helping arranging the meeting.
October 23, 2005: Dr. Mark Li, a board member of the CAMS, presented his "Asian Hepatitis B Project" in Good Fortune, Wheaton, MD. The meeting had 103 CAMS members and assoicates attended. Dr. Li is an internist, practicing the Silver Spring, MD. He pioneered the Asian Hepatities B project in Montgomery County. He received grants for this project from the University of Maryland and Montgomery County. Many CAMS members actively participated in this project.
September 24, 2005: We invited Dr. Sandra Gauchik, an allergist from Pensylvania to give us a lecture on Asmanex: A new therapeutic option for Asthma. The meeting was held in the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Bethesda, MD. It was sponsored by the Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals, Inc. There were 57 CAMS members and associates attended the meeting.
